Watch out! There is a fake about – news from Phoenix Memorial Diamonds

May 4, 2012

Mike Kelly – CEO of Phoenix Memorial Diamonds has contacted funeralmap.co.uk with news about a company trading with exactly the same name, but not offering exactly the same service. Mike explains “Some years ago, my attention was drawn to two of our website names being ripped-off by a company in Staffordshire. They had registered our names exactly but without the hyphen.

“Needless to say solicitors letters went out very quickly (to no avail – they carried on). Looking at their products, I not only came across a 'Phoenix Diamond' [untrue] but DiamondAura™ made from ashes. . .  I acquired this so-called diamond and had it analysed (to destruction) by the Birmingham Assay Office... turned out it was a derivative of Cubic Zirconium worth about £2 – far from the 'thousands' being suggested on their website.

“Late 2011 - the BBC's 'Three Counties Radio' talks openly about this company and the owners - failing to deliver not only a lady's 'Memorial Diamond' but also the cremated remains she sent (which she wanted back) after revelations by a former partner that they supplied diamonds which didn't contain ANY carbon whatsoever of the deceased”.

There are basically only four 'Memorial Diamond' (MD) manufacturers in the world – in Russia, Europe, America and Phoenix in Britain. MD's cannot be made from DNA and Cognac diamonds are not as light as Canary. Phoenix do not irradiate any naturally grown diamonds to lighten or change the colour - and yes, they assure all of their 150+ customers – only their ashes were genuinely used to make your unique REAL diamond at a fair price.

Phoenix Memorial Diamonds are Associate Members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors.
