Ireland’s first funeral planning website launched
Legacy Online, Ireland’s first portal for planning a funeral online, has been launched with hopes to alleviate the financial and emotional stress of funeral planning, according to the Silicon Republic website.
The funeral business in Ireland is worth around €200m annually, but 76pc of Irish adults aged 30 to 55 have never planned a funeral, and 24pc wouldn’t know where to start. But, as with everything in the digital age, there’s now an online solution.
Legacy Online is the first Irish website to offer a comprehensive funeral planning, booking and payment service. “The funeral business is changing, and it was time to move with the times,” said Josh Moonman, an experienced funeral director and the man behind Legacy Online.
“Using Legacy Online, the entire funeral can be decided, planned and priced in the familiar surroundings of your own home, taking as much time as you need to make important decisions at what is inevitably an emotional time,” he adds. “And for added reassurance, we’re just a phone call away to answer any questions, make suggestions or resolve any issues.”
