Diamonds the lasting tribute

Funeralmap.co.uk is grateful for this news update from Mike Kelly, Managing Director of Phoenix Memorial Diamonds:
Discussions about the pro's and con's of cremation and the limitations of burials will go on for some years yet, but a new process - 'Promession' by Promessa Organic AB from Sweden has to be one way forward. Promession is basically the 'freeze-drying' of the deceased. After processing, the 'promains' (residual material) can be used – for example - to grow a tree (or cremated further but more efficiently).
With 'Memorial Diamonds' becoming much more popular and wondering if we could still capitalize on 'Promession', we were intrigued to learn if our diamonds could be made for the bereaved.
Working with Promessa, we extracted carbon from both processes and successfully made 2 unique diamonds. One a beautifully sparkly 1.00crt brilliant cut canary and also a 1/2 crt. canary made from the cremated remains.
Showing the diamonds to managing directors Peter and Susanne Wiigh-Masak of Promessa in Sweden, they were delighted with the results and look forward to a joint venture in the future.
This is yet another 'First' for the group – No.1 being 'The Jessica Diamond' (from an umbilicalcord). Second was the 'London Riots Diamond' and third, the two illustrated from 'Promession' process.
